Yesterday, the joyful noises include barks and meows as we observed the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi with a Blessing of the Animals in the Memorial Garden. Francis was known for his love of all God’s creation, so every year in early October we stop to give thanks for the natural world and ask God’s blessing on our animal companions.
