Parish House Centennial

Photos from Sunday’s celebration of the Centennial of our Parish House, constructed in 1926. We displayed the contents of the recently-excavated time capsule left in the cornerstone during the building’s construction. Among the contents were a Bible, prayer book, letter, list of members, a silver coin, a photograph of the church, two newspapers, and a bulletin from the dedication service.
We also had Bishop Wright bless the contents of a new time capsule we will be placing somewhere within the church to tell future generations about our Bicentennial celebration. Among the items to be included are: a prayer book and hymnal, a copy of our Bicentennial coffee table book Sacred Reflections, several editions of The Chimes, a bulletin from the Bicentennial service, and a USB drive containing recordings of several services, including the Bicentennial service.
