Sunday Worship Services

Worship is central to the spiritual life of Christ Church. Our nave provides a beautiful worship space in which we celebrate, offer prayers, and live out our faith within a community of believers. This parish has a rich liturgical tradition and each of our worship services has it own characteristics. We offer three services each Sunday. Contemporary language is used in each of our services.

8:00 a.m. — Holy Eucharist rite II in the nave. Our early service is a spoken service, meaning that there is no singing.

9:00 a.m. — Holy Eucharist rite II in Jones’ Chapel. This service offers a child-friendly sermon geared for the younger congregants. The children are trained and participate as crucifer and acolytes. They are also encouraged to partake in communion with their parents.

11:00 a.m. — Choral Eucharist rite II in the nave. The procession of choir, acolytes, vergers, clergy and other lay leaders is led by the organ and sets the tone for this eucharistic celebration.

Midweek Worship Services

During the week, we offer a Communion and Healing service on Wednesday at 12:05 p.m. in the Nave. As a downtown church, we are able to offer this service as an outreach to our community as well as to our own congregation. Participants are encouraged to bring a sack lunch and meet afterward in the cloister room for food and fellowship.

Special Worship Services

Special worship services occur throughout the year. We have a quarterly Sunday evening healing service as well as services for children on various holidays such as All Saints’ Day, St. Nicholas’ Day, and Ash Wednesday.
