Music in the Episcopal Church has centered historically around choirs and organs, a tradition which continues to the present day.  Christ Church has choirs for all ages, constantly welcoming new members.   To contact the choirmaster, click here or call the Parish Office.

THE CHRIST CHURCH CHOIR is a mixed ensemble for singers of high school age and above.   It sings a broad range of sacred choral literature, concentrating on the repertoire of the Renaissance, 19th century and modern era most associated with the Anglican tradition of worship.   It sings primarily for the Sunday 11:00 a.m. Choral Eucharist.

REHEARSALS:  Thursdays 6:00-7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 10:15 a.m.

THE JUNIOR CHOIR  is for young singers in grades 2-6, and is open to first graders who read well and wish to take part.  Intended as a working liturgical choir, the Junior Choir trains its singers in fundamentals of churchmanship and musicianship.

THE ST. FRANCIS  CHOIR is for our youngest singers, up through the first grade; rehearsals will not conflict with other Wednesday evening children's activities.

THE SUMMER CHOIR which sings for the 10:30 a.m. (summer schedule) service during June, July, and August.

REHEARSALS: Sundays 9:45 a.m.

THE FUNERAL CHOIR is composed of any singers in the parish who are available for the purpose.  Christ Church feels that it is important to provide a choir for all funerals.   If you feel you may be able to assist us in this way, please contact Bob Parris in the Parish Office.

We have an inspiring worship space with a marvelous acoustic for music and a truly distinguished organ (C.B. Fisk Op. 115).  Extensive musical knowledge is NOT necessary to be in the choirs, only an ability to match pitch and a willingness to jump in and give us a hand.

The premiere compact disc recording of our Fisk organ, titled “Land of Rest,”  has been released by Loft Recordings of Seattle,  and is available in the Parish Office.
